PHLOX FITNESS CLUB

FAQ : Why the “Phlox”?

I chose the Phlox flower as the symbol for the club for a few reasons. First, the Phlox flower represents harmony, which aligns perfectly with my vision. I concluded my walk-about project by settling in a town called Harmony. This is where the club was conceived. And since I believe fitness means having all aspects of health in harmony (nutrition, habits, lifestyle, exercise, etc) the Phlox seemed a perfect choice.

Another reason is that the Phlox flower has the ability to grow most anywhere it’s planted and thrive under any conditions. I want my clients to feel the same way about themselves - that they can thrive wherever they are, using the resources they have. Fitness allows our bodies to adapt and thrive amidst different challenges, just like the Phlox flower does.

Similar to the nurturing and care the Phlox flower needs, our bodies also need nurturing and caring.  Those things come in the form of proper nutrition, exercise, rest, and recovery.  Achieving and maintaining fitness is a journey that requires these elements, and I want to provide a place where people can confidently learn how to integrate them into their lives, and flourish even beyond my time with them.

Lastly, the Phlox flower comes in so many vibrant colors and diverse varieties. That’s what I want the club to be about. People in all shapes and sizes and walks of life, looking to start prioritizing their fitness and well-being. I firmly believe that every person is able and deserves to be their most beautiful, strongest, healthiest and happiest self.

I hope you will be part of the Phlox Phamily soon!
